Oh Sweet Baby (A Poem)
Oh my sweet baby, as we snuggle here in bed,
I wonder how often do I kiss you on the head?
One for how you grow,
Two for the new things you know,
Three for wanting you to stay just the same,
Four for playing games,
Five for sleep tights,
Six for sleepless nights,
Seven for boo-boos,
Eight for every time I hold you,
Nine for looking like your dad,
Ten to help you not feel sad,
From milestones reached to books read,
I will take any opportunity to kiss you on the head.
There will come a time when your head will be too tall,
So baby, oh sweet baby, let me kiss you while you're small.
